FAQ
-
Do you have a storefront?
Not yet! To get a bouquet, you can sign up for our flower shares we offer every summer.
You can also contact Sundrop via email (sundropflora@gmail.com) or text (970-209-5255) for a custom order. You can also make an appointment to visit the flower farm for yourself for a u-pick and gather all your favorite flowers for yourself.
-
Are all of your flowers organic?
Although Sundrop is not certified organic by the USDA, we are beyond organic in our growing practices. We use our own compost from animals at the farm & do not use any herbicides, pesticides, or fertilizers unless they are OMRI certified (&even then, rarely!) You can feel confident that all of the flowers you get from Sundrop are safe from harmful chemicals.
-
How far in advance do you book out for events?
Generally, I begin the booking and consultation process for weddings in November of the year before the wedding i.e. for an August 2024 wedding, I begin the process in Nov or Dec ‘23. However, you can always request! I may still have the date open & usually can fit in elopements or micro weddings.
For other events, I am open to booking anytime!
-
How big is your team?
Sundrop is a very small team with almost everything being done by me (Alexis!). In 2024, I am bringing on Bekah part time for farming assistance, Jen for design assistance, & several freelance designers to help day-of with weddings. My staff works part time & seasonally, normally only working from June-Sept.
-
Where is the farm located?
Approximately 20 miles from the town of Gunnison, the farm is in an isolated location which has its pros & cons. It is wonderfully peaceful & I have seen some incredible wildlife on my drive to the farm. However, it is about 50+ miles from most wedding venues taking an hour or more to commute to venues.

How do we get involved?
This year, we are offering a few spots for volunteers to exchange their time for flowers! We also host events such as volunteer days, flower arranging classes, wreath making classes, & more! You can sign up to be a part of the email list by letting me know you want to join by emailing sundropflora@gmail.com. Following along on Instagram is a great way to get information on upcoming events, flower subscription openings, and u-pick days.
